In a small sauce pan, add 1 stick butter & 1 bunch of thyme
Heat on very low heat allowing butter to melt and flavors to cook together, this will take about 5 minutes
Be sure to keep an eye on your buetter so it does not burn
Remove from heat, add in maple syrup, salt & pepper. Taste your butter, adjust flavors to your liking
Remove your thyme & allow butter to cool in fridge for 10 minutes. It is okay if bits of thyme are left behind in your butter
Once your butter is cooled, mix it together & store in an airtight container
Alternate Storing Option
To roll your butter into a log, use plastic wrap. Add butter in a straight line and then roll the butter with the plastic wrap like a buritto. Twist both ends to allow plastic wrap to tighten around butter and form a log
Notes
This maple thyme butter goes great with buttermilk biscuits. Here is a recipe!
