Using a medium-size pot add in your brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups of water. Cook on medium-low heat until sugar dissolves in water and creates a syrup, this will take about 5 minutes. Don't forget to stir this mixture a few times to assist the sugar in dissolving into the water
Once your simple syrup is ready, remove it from heat and allow to cool
Clean your lemons, cut them in half and juice them removing the seeds but preserving the lemon pulp if you can
In an empty drink, pitcher add ice, brown sugar simple syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 3 cups of water
Mix together and taste, continue to taste and add water as needed. Adjust this recipe to accommodate your preferences
