Avocado Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices whole-grain bread or any artisanal bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • Pinch of chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional Toppings: everything bagel season hummus, or sunflower seeds for topping

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread slices to your desired crispness.
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.
  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly on each slice of toast.
  • Top with lemon zest, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • For extra protein, add a layer of hummus or sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
