Heaven in your mouth
Maple, thyme & butter. Three of my favorite ingredients to cook with. Mix them all together and you have a magical symphony of flavors. I have recreated this recipe in so many different ways. Here's how and why if you are curious.

Maple Thyme Butter
Equipment
- small pot
- plastic wrap
- rubber spatula
Ingredients
- 1 stick Butter
- 1 bunch Thyme
- 4 tbsp Maple Syrup
- TT Salt & Pepper TT=To Taste
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan, add 1 stick butter & 1 bunch of thyme
- Heat on very low heat allowing butter to melt and flavors to cook together, this will take about 5 minutes
- Be sure to keep an eye on your buetter so it does not burn
- Remove from heat, add in maple syrup, salt & pepper. Taste your butter, adjust flavors to your liking
- Remove your thyme & allow butter to cool in fridge for 10 minutes. It is okay if bits of thyme are left behind in your butter
- Once your butter is cooled, mix it together & store in an airtight container
- Alternate Storing Option
- To roll your butter into a log, use plastic wrap. Add butter in a straight line and then roll the butter with the plastic wrap like a buritto. Twist both ends to allow plastic wrap to tighten around butter and form a log
Notes
This maple thyme butter goes great with buttermilk biscuits. Here is a recipe!
